About Us

Hi! I’m Ahana

I’m high school student. I’ve heard the word “adapt” my whole life, but after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis and scoliosis in addition to achondroplasia, a rare form of dwarfism, it took on a whole new meaning for me.

Everyday things started to feel a lot harder: finding shoes that fit, using furniture, or even reaching pedals. I talked to others in the Little People of America (LPA) community and found that many struggled with the same issues: either products were expensive or there were not enough helpful reviews from people who actually use them.

Project Adapt’s Mission

In a world designed for average-height individuals, people with skeletal dysplasia often struggle with basic environments—such as hard-to-reach shelves and inaccessible public spaces—making everyday tasks exhausting.

Vision

To promote inclusion and ease daily life, there must be more reviews, resources, and guidance available specifically for people with skeletal dysplasia.
